Responsibilities

• Assist with construction observation of municipal infrastructure projects
• Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress
• Perform materials testing, field staking, and general inspection for municipal road and utility projects
• Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems
• Work closely with field staff and project managers

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related field
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required
• Reliable means of transportation to travel to the office and project sites

Desired Skills and Experience

• Coursework or experience in construction observation, Civil3D or AutoCAD, underground utilities, survey, or municipal design is beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
