About the Role

Geosyntec offers an exciting internship/co-op opportunity in our Blue Bell, PA office for students in civil, environmental, or related engineering disciplines. This full-time (40 hours/week) position spans approximately 13 to 15 weeks during the winter semester of 2026. Preferred candidates may return for up to two additional semester rotations. Candidates must coordinate their own transportation to and from the office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor oversight.
  • Perform engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools.
  • Contribute to technical writing, including reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Input and analyze data, preparing maps, tables, and figures.
  • Follow instructions and collaborate with engineers, geologists, administrative staff, CADD operators, contractors, and construction personnel.
  • Drive personal, company, or rental vehicles to client or company project sites and other business locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant engineering discipline (required).
  • Preferred degree focus in civil, geotechnical, environmental, chemical, or water resources engineering.
  • Upper division (e.g., sophomore or junior) or Master’s enrollment (preferred).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).

Skills

  • Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office (preferred).
  • Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral communication, and problem-solving skills (preferred).
