Brief Description INTERN- CHEMICAL ENGINEER BASIC FUNCTION Standard Design of Chemical Systems performing chemical engineering functions in the execution of assigned projects in a cross-functional work team. Responsibilities Perform tasks requiring the application of standard chemical engineering techniques and procedures. Assist in standard design of chemical systems. Correct and update designs. Assist lead engineers on project related concerns. Analyze and resolve a range of engineering problems. Understand, support, and comply, with all plant safety policies and procedures. Function as part of a design team and utilize engineering design. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed. Ability to manage and execute small projects assigned. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Lift up to 10 pounds Walk safely in and around industrial areas Work under deadline pressure within an environment that demands attention to safety and detail Sit or stand for extended periods of time Work at computer for significant periods of time throughout the day
