Intern, Chemical Engineer

This internship is for Chemical Engineering students at the White Springs, Florida Phosphate facility. It is a temporary, full‑time, hourly paid position that is not remote; work occurs both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Standard workwear (hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses, ear plugs) is provided, and housing is offered for students whose summer residence is more than 75 miles from the site (relocation is not provided).
Responsibilities
- Assist the site with various duties, including project work
- Advance process‑related projects
- Troubleshoot process problems
- Inspect chemical processing equipment
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Chemical Engineering or equivalent related program with a graduation date of May 2028 or later
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicals
- Ability to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment, and portable radio communications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
