About the role
As an Intern in Systems Engineering, you will perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design and implementation plans. You will support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures, analyze systems requirements, and communicate design activity plans to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, procedures, and cases
- Conduct tests and document results
- Use software tools, scripting, and software/hardware troubleshooting
- Analyze systems requirements from end systems and users
- Support development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field at an accredited university
Skills
- Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, and/or project management
- Experience with model-based systems engineering
- Familiarity with Rhapsody
Pay
The salary range for this role in Virginia (Greater D.C. area) is $25.50 per hour - $48.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off.
