Intern - Bridge Engineering - Portsmouth, NH

Description We are seeking a motivated intern to join The Hoyle Tanner Internship Program in our Bridge Group within our Ground Transportation Division. This is a paid internship opportunity. Start date is anticipated to be May of 2027. Earlier start dates are available on a limited basis. This internship can be based out of our Chelmsford, MA, Burlington, VT, or Portsmouth, NH office. Primary Responsibilities Include Assisting engineers with the planning, design, inspection, and construction support of bridge projectsPreparing CADD drawings and contract plans, performing engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimatesAssisting with bridge inspections and site visits for projects under constructionCompiling technical reports and project documentationSupporting project meetings and coordination efforts This position provides hands-on experience with bridge design standards, engineering software, construction practices, and professional engineering procedures while working under the guidance of senior engineers.
