Intern - Bridge Engineering - Burlington, VT

About the role

We are seeking a motivated intern to join the Hoyle Tanner Internship Program in our Bridge Group within the Ground Transportation Division. This is a paid internship opportunity. The anticipated start date is May 2027, with earlier start dates available on a limited basis. The internship can be based out of the Chelmsford, MA; Burlington, VT; or Portsmouth, NH office. Responsibilities

• Assisting engineers with the planning, design, inspection, and construction support of bridge projects
• Preparing CADD drawings and contract plans, performing engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
• Assisting with bridge inspections and site visits for projects under construction
• Compiling technical reports and project documentation
• Supporting project meetings and coordination efforts

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program
• EIT preferred, or ability to obtain
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus
