Intern

About the role

A volunteer, one-year, one-day-per-week training program to help everyday Christians: Gain ministry experience across various church areas, Receive theological training and mentorship, Deepen personal discipleship and service.

What does an internship involve?

• Mentoring: Fortnightly sessions with a godly, mature Christian for Bible reading, prayer, encouragement, and personal support.
• Equipping: Structured training through two units of the Preliminary Theological Certificate from Moore College, cohort learning with fellow interns, and participation in the Engage Leaders Conference.
• Ministry Involvement: Gain hands-on experience by serving across a variety of ministries at St Stephen’s, helping you grow in practical skills and awareness of how ministry works in everyday church life.

Criteria

• Demonstrated godliness and character
• A clear understanding of and trust in the gospel of Jesus
• Regular attendance at St Stephen’s Presbyterian Church Surrey Hills
• Agreement with the church’s vision, mission, and values
• Aged 18 years or older
