Intern Advantage Program - SoPac - Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Internship (MEP)

About the role

McCarthy's Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Team is seeking an Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. McCarthy's Intern Advantage program is a competitive hands-on opportunity to gain real-life experience and learn what a career in the industry is all about. During the internship, tasks are assigned to help the intern gain exposure to the MEP process and apply her/his mechanical, construction and engineering skills to real world applications.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and low-voltage systems at a designated jobsite or project location
• Be exposed to complex building systems
• Understand the importance of effectively managing specialty MEP trades
• Have the opportunity to be assigned to larger, more complex projects that require dedicated attention to MEP

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline
• Strong interpersonal skills are required
• General familiarity with construction concepts, practices and procedures is required
• Enjoys collaboration and working with others to solve complex problems

Pay

For Southern California positions only, the hourly rate of pay is $28.
