Responsibilities
- Receive and direct teams in the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Review daily project requirements, document progress, and report challenges to managers.
- Perform daily inspections of vehicles for safety and cleanliness.
- Provide appropriate field documentation, photographic records, charts, and sketches for various Third Party Administrators (TPA) projects.
- Ensure compliance with BELFOR standards to protect the property of others.
- Work with time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
- Periodically travel and work at night and during weekends.
- Inform managers promptly and accurately about time worked and equipment/consumables used.
- Attend BELFOR-sponsored operations and security training courses.
Requirements
- Supervise and perform Water Damage Basic tasks.
- Gather and download pictures to job files.
- Maintain equipment used in debris removal, containment/drying chambers, wall cavity drying, pump system, carpet seam cutting, cushion removal, baseboard removal.
- Identify Class 4 material, moisture measurements, and deploy effective drying/restoration techniques.
- Evaluate the integrity of affected structural materials and contents for both direct and indirect water damage.
- Accurately assess the cost of restoration versus replacement.
- Create moisture maps using provided tools and knowledge.
- Supervise small crews on tasks such as debris removal, containment/drying chambers, wall cavity drying, pump system, carpet seam cutting, cushion removal, baseboard removal, and more.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard and IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
- Current IICRC WRT designation.
- Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
- Proper use of appropriate meters and IR camera, understanding of affected vs unaffected building materials and contents.
- Ability to draw a sketch, read floor plans, complete a Moisture Content Log, create a Pychrometric Log, and determine drying goals.
- Mastery in the use of HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter or equivalent, and recording of data.
- Experience with truck mount extraction systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supervising small crews (up to 10 people) on residential/commercial and industrial losses.
- Eligibility to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy.
- Sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- English language literacy and fluency.
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time).
- Access and mobility in tight spaces.
- Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling.
