About the role
The Accounting Automation & AI Team is a newly formed team focused on automating complex business processes and applying AI to reduce repetitive tasks which require cognitive reasoning. As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you will design and build reliable and scalable cloud-native systems and integrate AI capabilities to support these enterprise processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable and scalable cloud-native systems
- Integrate AI capabilities to support enterprise processes
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and cross-functional partners to implement modern automation solutions, including autonomous and human-in-the-loop systems
- Contribute to the design and develop enterprise-grade technology solutions with a focus on system performance, cross-system interdependence, stability, scalability, and usability
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code
- Participate in an on-call rotation and partner with the team to troubleshoot, learn, and continuously improve production systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with software development with one or more development frameworks including .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server, DevOps, and Visual Studio
- Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions
- Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
- Capable of writing clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code
- Experienced in working within Agile/Scrum teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform to deliver repeatable, reliable environments
- Experience developing cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Terraform modules and best practices to create scalable, secure foundations
- Write clean, maintainable Python to automate workflows and support backend services
- Develop RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core, and document them clearly using Swagger/OpenAPI for smooth consumer integration
- Use Git confidently to collaborate effectively and ship high-quality changes
- Bring curiosity about AI: hands-on familiarity with LLM APIs, prompting, and core AI/ML concepts (at a conceptual level)
- Design data solutions across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data—covering schema modeling, querying, and performance tuning
