Intermediate Mechanic
About the role
The Mechanic role is responsible for retrieving vehicles due for service or repair, with the goal of reducing down time and increasing the quality and delivery of our services to the crews and our patients. The delivered product is a clean, mechanically sound vehicle inside and out. It is important that the product produced is maintained to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
- Mechanic Intermediate performs mechanical and electrical repairs per policies and procedures.
- Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.
- Utilizes parts computer program to locate needed parts and verify correct application.
- Mechanic Intermediate uses maintenance database to document all completed tasks / job assignments.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent education.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license.
- ACE/MAX ACE * Preferred ASE, HOWEVER, must be obtained within the first year of employment.
- 2 years verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper / Associate experience.
- 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series). Preferably Brake and Steering / Suspension.
- MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Benefits and Compensation
Annualized starting compensation range is $30.00 per hour or more based on experience. Total annualized compensation depends on qualifications, and experience.
