Intermediate Experiential Graphic Designer

About the role

The Intermediate Experiential Graphic Designer at IA Interior Architects works closely with internal teams to create impactful experiences for a variety of client brands. This role is part of a hybrid team, meeting 3 days per week in-person.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and explore opportunities to enhance the character of a place through creative branding and design.
• Conceptualize, design, and document graphics, art, displays, signage/wayfinding, and interactive experiences for a broad range of client brands.
• Create a cohesive visual style for each project that guides the graphic development of individual elements.
• Develop project presentations and edit plans, elevations, renderings, and mood boards to represent and document the design.
• Independently produce project tasks, seek feedback, and implement revisions accurately.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or Architecture.
• 3+ years of design experience in a studio environment, with some environmental graphic design (EGD) experience.

Qualifications

• Solid branding and graphic design sensibilities, including an understanding of color usage, typography, and composition.
• Ability to think spatially and visualize design within the built environment.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to present to internal teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign [with CADtools], Illustrator, Acrobat) and MS Office.
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to be efficient, proactive, flexible, and maintain a positive spirit.
• Desire to work collaboratively with architects, interior designers, and strategists in integrated, multidisciplinary teams.

Skills

• Experience with Revit and 3D modeling software (Enscape, SketchUp, V-Ray, 3ds Max).
• Ability to hand sketch or digitally render.
• Experience in video editing or creative technology.
