Intermediate AWS Cloud System Operations Administrator-JCC2-ESC

Intermediate AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator – Full Time, San Antonio, TX. TS/SCI clearance required. Referral bonus up to $1,500. Sign‑on bonus up to $2,000.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter proficiency for assigned tasks.
• Support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements with analytical skills.
• Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS, implementing security controls and compliance requirements.
• Define requirements, create functional models, and develop architectural processes.
• Optimize system operations using AWS tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ensure alignment with security protocols and standards for cloud services.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of overall experience in relevant functional areas.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
• Ten (10) years of IT systems administration experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms.
• Proficient in maintenance (patching, STIG, upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing and operating workloads on AWS, including Amazon EKS.
• Experience supporting development and test teams in AWS with applied knowledge of Kubernetes and RHEL servers.
• TS/SCI clearance required.

Certifications & Training

• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training with at least one year of applied experience on containerized platforms.
• IAT II certification (Security+ desired).
• At least two of the following (with one year applied experience, or two years relevant experience as a substitute):
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational)
  • AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate)
  • Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
  • Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • RH294: RHEL Linux Automation with Ansible
