About the role

O'Neil Langan Architects is seeking an intermediate-level architectural designer (Project Manager) to join our dynamic team. We are a boutique firm based in New York City that specializes in creating innovative retail spaces for high-end brands both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in project development from schematic design to construction
  • Work closely with senior staff and principals on each new project
  • Receive mentorship from experienced architects to refine skills
  • Collaborate with high-end retail brands on cutting-edge design projects
  • Manage the major phases of architectural projects independently
  • Lead small teams of junior architects and drafters
  • Create and produce construction documents using AutoCAD
  • Utilize Enscape, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, Sketchup, and Vray for visualizations

Requirements

  • BArch, MArch, or equivalent Interior Design degree
  • Approximately 4-6 years of experience in an architecture or design firm
  • Strong construction document production experience in AutoCAD
  • Proven architectural project management experience for 2+ years
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle fast-paced projects and meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • High proficiency in AutoCAD (production and understanding of construction documents)
  • Strong foundation in architectural project management
  • Experience leading small teams of junior architects/drafters
  • Proficiency in Enscape, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, Sketchup, and Vray

Pay

$70,000 - $89,000 annually, depending on experience and skill set

Schedule

This is an in-office role. Our ideal candidates will be located in New York City or the immediate region, and will be able to work in-office at our Manhattan headquarters. Remote work may be arranged at times if necessary due to emergency circumstances.
