About the role
Blackbird Architects is seeking a full-time Architect / Designer with 3-8 years of experience, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, and significant experience in detailing and construction documents. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to design excellence, strong organizational and project management skills, and proficiency with 2D and 3D drafting software.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in teams on large projects and/or lead documentation of smaller projects
- Lead consultant coordination
- Manage multiple projects at various scales and meet deadlines
- Design buildings and landscapes for living, learning, work, and recreation
- Work on a variety of projects and all phases of design and construction
- Implement sustainable design principles
Requirements
- Significant experience and demonstrated ability in detailing and construction documents
- Experience in leading consultant coordination
- Organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency with 2D drafting software and working knowledge of VectorWorks
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software and working knowledge of SketchUp
- Strong design and graphic skills
- Experience in Adobe software and other presentation software
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Commitment to design excellence
