We are seeking an Intermediate Architect to join our Northwest Cities & Places team in Boise, Idaho.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
  • Support development of architectural concepts, design studies, space planning efforts, and project presentations.
  • Develop and maintain BIM models and architectural construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Create plans, elevations, sections, Wall sections, schedules, details, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Create renderings, visualizations, graphics, and presentation materials that effectively communicate design intent.
  • Coverage of architectural documentation, coordination with consultants, and support during design development, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration phases.
  • Conduct code analysis, accessibility requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate material selections, finish information, and product data with consultants, vendors, and project teams.
  • Participate in quality reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, planners, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 3-8 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for architectural design and documentation.
  • Experience developing architectural construction documents and BIM models.
  • Experience contributing to projects through design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Ability to translate sketches, markups, and design direction into coordinated project documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, materials, construction methods, and architectural documentation standards.
  • Understanding of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and consultant coordination processes.
  • Experience incorporating project requirements, specifications, and architectural standards into construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced technology facilities, healthcare, higher education, municipal, civic, or other facility-focused projects.
  • Experience creating renderings, visualizations, and presentation materials using SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations, and contractor coordination.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, Navisworks, or Revizto.
  • Understanding of project delivery workflows from conceptual design through construction.
  • Interest in architectural licensure and professional development.
  • Ability to proactively identify and help resolve project challenges.
  • Commitment to design excellence, technical quality, innovation, and collaboration.
