Interlayer - Production Lead - 2nd Shift

Duties/Responsibilities

• Communicate verbally with other employees on the assembly line to coordinate tasks.
• Serve as the supporting person for the Supervisor.
• Know all the processes and procedures in the department.
• Aid in filling in on the lines when needed for lunch rotation and restroom breaks.
• Ensure the orderly flow of the line.
• Adjust equipment to increase productivity and quality.
• Use Excel to update schedules and inform the Leadership.
• Utilize tugs and pallet jacks to set up schedules and move racks.
• Monitor workers to ensure they perform job assignments correctly and safely.
• Maintain glass yields, adjust schedules to improve yields, and manage back orders.
• Monitor equipment for issues and notify the Supervisor.
• Work side-by-side with co-workers performing production work and in a leadership capacity.

Skills/Abilities

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No active Written Warnings or higher-level corrective actions.
• Previous work experience and knowledge preferred but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Excellent work performance.
• Ability to read and comprehend shop floor monitor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• A team mindset.
• Understanding of goal setting and achievement.
• A positive attitude aligned with Cardinal LG's leadership philosophy.
• A sense of urgency in completing work on time.
• Behavior that aligns with ethical practices and respect for team members.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist in team lifts of 100 pounds.
• Knowledge of customer specifications.
