About the role
The Interior Support Technician position at West Star is a full-time, on-site role with a 2nd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 3pm-1am. The shift includes a 10-15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, and formal airframe training.
Responsibilities
- Remove and install carpeting, insulation, soundproofing, and fabric accessories.
- Varying amounts of parts replacement/repair, basic electrical system installation, modifications, refurbishments, and general mechanical applications on aircraft interiors.
- Perform general mechanical items on aircraft interiors and related systems.
- Perform minor modifications with minimal direction.
- Perform daily turnover sheets, work order processes, and weight and balance data.
- Maintain cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
- Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
- Experience: Tech I (0-2 years), Tech II (2-4 years), Tech III (4-6 years), Master Tech (6+ years).
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- Follow FAA guidelines and company/safety rules.
- Customer-oriented work habits.
- Physical requirements: lift and carry at least 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands, standing for long periods, climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
Schedule
The 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1am.
