Key Responsibilities

  • Aircraft Interior Installation: Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Coordinate with supervision and inspection teams to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, FAA regulations, and quality specifications.
  • Material Tracking: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment, and maintain shop equipment and tools properly.
  • Preparation and Installation: Prepare and install aircraft interior items in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Hardware Application: Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners used in aircraft interiors, ensuring proper use of hardware and fittings.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Support and Adaptability: Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements and adapt to sudden schedule changes.
  • Process Improvement: Work with lead and higher-skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools and equipment associated with installation and removal of interiors.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Experience

Preferred in the aerospace industry.

Pay Rate: $25.66/hour
