About the role
At JCJ Architecture, we seek an experienced Interior Designer Level II to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of spaces that strengthen communities, businesses, and institutions.
Responsibilities
- Generates all architectural concepts for interiors projects, including full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating interior design assignments.
- Plans and designs interior aspects of large or multiple projects by developing appropriate concepts and approaches.
- Provides subject matter expertise on specific components of Interior Design.
- Communicates and collaborates with internal and external consultant team members, maintaining and initiating frequent communication to sustain proper information flow.
- Participates in the preparation and delivery of presentations to clients both physically and virtually, assuming leadership of selected portions of presentations.
- Supports business development activities by creating presentation collateral including digital or physical finish boards, visual slide-deck presentations.
- Assists with the maintenance of resource materials and data base in physical and digital libraries.
- Manages FF&E specifications and FF&E location plans and budgets using JCJ established software and formats.
- Coordinates with JCJ Specifications team and coordinates with 3rd party FF and E procurement companies.
- Participates in value engineering exercises, answers RFI's, and assists in shop drawing, submittal review and file management for construction and FF&E procurement.
- Attends regular construction phase meetings and coordinates with JCJ internal CA team and processes.
- Assumes special projects and duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, plus six or more years of related experience.
- Certification as a licensed professional is preferred but not required.
- Professional Registration (preferred but not required).
- Advanced Computer and Information Management Skills (AutoCAD, Revit).
Skills
- Strong conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration skills.
- Proficiency in multiple software applications for computer aided visualization.
- Knowledge of Building, ADA and Life/Fire safety codes.
- Ability to manage and coordinate FF&E specifications and budgets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
