Join us in shaping the future of architecture and design in the Southeast! We are currently seeking an Interior Designer with experience in government projects to join our Charlotte office. This position is ideal for an interior designer who is passionate about public-sector projects and creating civic spaces that strengthen communities. The ideal candidate will bring experience across multiple project phases and a thorough understanding of the unique requirements associated with municipal, government, public safety, justice, and community-focused facilities. Market Focus: This role supports LS3P's growing Government Sector, serving a diverse range of local, state, and federal clients throughout the Southeast and beyond. Project opportunities include civic buildings, public safety facilities, municipal and county government projects, National Guard facilities, and federal work for agencies such as NAVFAC, USACE, and DHS. Team members contribute to projects delivered through both traditional design services and integrated design-build partnerships, providing experience with complex facilities, collaborative project delivery, and fast-paced execution. A Day in the Life: Contribute to the design and technical development of civic and government projects. Contribute to other design and marketing efforts undertaken by the firmCreate visual presentations and communications for client interactionsDiscover your areas of interest and work with talented mentorsDevelop design assignments throughout all project phasesCoordinate architectural drawings across disciplinesSupport communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultantsPlay an integral part in overall client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm's strategic priorities Your Strengths as an Interior Designer - Government: Technical production skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively produce design and construction documentsExperience with civic, municipal, government, justice, public safety, or other public-sector projects. Proficiency in RevitExperience with graphics software such as Sketchup, Lumion, or EnscapeLEED accreditation or interest in achieving accreditation is preferredUnderstanding of the design and procurement processesAbility to direct and motivate work efforts of others and handle project challenges What You Bring To The Table: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited university or equivalent field of study6+ years of design experience in an architecture firm is preferredNCIDQ certification is preferred A cover letter, resume and portfolio demonstrating Revit skills and rendering abilities are required.
