Compensation & Schedule

Earn between $55,000 to $100,000+ per year. Work 5 days a week, including nights and weekends, with retail hours from 10 am – 7 pm Monday – Saturday and 12 pm – 6 pm Sunday.

Opportunities

• Work with customers and sales consultants to create beautiful rooms and spaces
• Offer in-home, in-store, and virtual consultations
• Create floor plans and photo-realistic 3D renderings
• Assist Sales Consultants in closing transactions
• Coordinate with customers during home visits and final presentations
• Provide feedback to Sales Consultants and Branch Managers
• Use My Sales Center to access and follow-up with customers
• Maintain knowledge of furniture styles and products
• Participate in sales training

Earning Opportunity

Earn between $55,000 to $100,000+ per year. In 2025, Havertys Interior Design Consultants earned an average of $84,000 nationally.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in interior design or related field; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to drive and provide personal transportation to customer in-home appointments
• Experience with Microsoft Office and prior use of a Room Planner software is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office components, internet software, and full-shot image software is preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in interior design or related field; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• ASID certification preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to drive and provide personal transportation to customer in-home appointments. Reliable transportation with verification of minimum state-required car insurance is a requirement of the position.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 20 pounds occasionally. Varying color recognition is required in this position.
