Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request
• Document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements
• Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures
• Participate in 5-S activities
• Perform work in a safe and timely manner
• Absorb additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work
• Clean aircraft as required
• Travel on international assignments if required
• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed
• Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed

Qualifications

• Typically 2 years of experience in interiors (including previous wood finish and soft goods experience)
• Demonstrated ability to break down cabinets, remove hardware, inlay, and strip finish using heat and scraper
• Experience with sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood for finish, including touching up defects in veneer
• Knowledge of mixing, matching, and applying stains and paints on new veneers
• Experience with spraying polyester base coats and urethane topcoats
• Experience with aircraft touch-up
• Demonstrated ability to mask and unmask components for finish processes
• Proven mechanical aptitude
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) on individual and/or aircraft status
• Experience on corporate jets preferred
• Basic PC skills
