About the role
Under direction from the Regulatory Manager, this role will support international cosmetic registrations and market requests. You will establish comprehensive regulatory overviews for cosmetics and document processes for each phase of notification and registration. The role also supports regulatory activities across product development, claims review, registration, packaging compliance, EPR, and sustainability. Collaboration with a high-performance team and seamless work across business functions and external partners are essential.
Responsibilities
- Support product registration and notification for all e.l.f. Beauty brands, interfacing with partners in India, GCC, EU, UK, Australia, and Mexico. This includes creating, reviewing, and submitting required documentation, tracking registration status and timelines, and identifying process efficiencies.
- Collaborate with consultants, distributors, and manufacturers to ensure compliance requirements are met and registrations/notifications are completed according to brand timelines.
- Assist the Regulatory Manager with gathering information on upcoming cosmetic, OTC, and packaging-related regulations, and collaborate cross-functionally to execute necessary actions.
- Assist with registration and reporting needs for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
- Address Regulatory-related questions from retailers regarding e.l.f. Beauty products.
- Monitor new regulations and amendments; participate in trade association committees.
Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience in the cosmetic industry in a Regulatory Affairs role.
- A science background (BS degree or higher) is required.
- Understanding and working knowledge of cosmetics regulatory requirements, with an emphasis on color cosmetics and skincare, including ingredient, labeling, notification/registration, product claims, and packaging requirements.
- Conversant in the international regulatory framework for ingredients, finished products, claims, packaging, and artwork requirements.
- Highly collaborative; works well individually and in a team environment to achieve results.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Comfortable learning and working with web-based databases and submission portals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated and capable of multitasking.
