Interim Patient Safety Director

About the Role

An Interim Patient Safety Director is needed to lead patient safety initiatives and support quality, risk management, and clinical safety activities. Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and closing RL6/Midas reports within established timelines
• Conducting patient safety and Environment of Care rounds
• Leading root cause analyses and intensive analyses
• Documenting action plans and obtaining necessary approvals
• Partnering with quality leadership on patient safety activities

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and patient safety experience, with demonstrated expertise in quality, risk management, and healthcare operations. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• BSN required
• Active CA RN license required
• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification required; Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred
• Three to five years of combined experience in clinical practice and progressive healthcare leadership, with relevant experience in patient safety, quality, risk management, or healthcare operations

Pay

Compensation Range: $165,000 to $170,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.
