Interim ED Nurse Manager

About the role

An Interim ED Nurse Manager is needed to provide leadership and operational oversight for a 29-bed Emergency Department. Reports to the Director of Emergency Services.

• Build a strong leadership foundation
• Strengthen accountability
• Support staff education and readiness for the upcoming Epic implementation
• Help team members better understand the purpose behind clinical and operational practices

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and approachable leader with strong emotional intelligence who can build trust, develop relationships, and create accountability while maintaining a supportive leadership style. This leader should be comfortable having difficult conversations, setting clear expectations, and balancing empathy with firmness when needed.

Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Active RN license required
• Emergency Department nursing leadership experience required
• Epic experience required

Pay

Compensation range: $150,000 to $160,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations.
