Interim Director of Nursing, RN

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing services in an assigned nursing center on a temporary basis.
• Manage transitional issues related to changes in nursing center leadership.
• Coordinate service activities of professional and auxiliary nursing personnel.
• Develop, allocate, and control the budget for the Department of Nursing Services.
• Complete daily rounds on the units to observe patients and ensure nursing needs are met.
• Review nursing progress notes for informativeness and compliance with the plan of care.
• Interpret nursing center policies and regulations for all nursing personnel and ensure compliance.
• Analyze and evaluate nursing and related services to improve quality of care and staff utilization.
• Provide in-service training programs for nursing personnel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years' experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting.
