Interim Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Controller with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience to oversee accounting across three entities. This role will focus heavily on improving visibility into gross margin by SKU, customer, and product, while strengthening cost accounting and standard costing processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting across three entities
• Lead multi-entity accounting and consolidations
• Strengthen cost accounting and standard costing processes
• Analyze COGS, gross margins, inventory, and production costs
• Improve visibility into gross margin by SKU, customer, and product
• Analyze PPV, production variances, labor absorption, and material costs
• Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations
• Provide hands-on Controller-level accounting leadership
• Oversee cash management and cash flow

Required Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing accounting experience
• Deep cost accounting and standard costing expertise
• Strong COGS and gross-margin analysis experience
• Inventory accounting experience
• Understanding of PPV, production variances, labor absorption, and material costs
• Multi-entity accounting and consolidations
• Hands-on Controller experience
• Strong cash management skills
• Ability to work onsite on Long Island 3 days per week

Preferred

• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience
• Multi-site manufacturing experience
• CPA

Pay

$105/hr-$115/hr

Schedule

3 days a week onsite/2 days from home. Location: Long Island, NY
