Interim Controller

Position Overview Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Interim Controller to support the accounting and finance team during a temporary engagement in Georgia. This is an on-site role. The individual will oversee key accounting functions, support financial reporting, and assist with ongoing business initiatives, including ERP-related projects.The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage general ledger activities and account reconciliations.Prepare and post journal entries.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Maintain balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation.Analyze financial results and investigate variances.Support inventory accounting processes, reconciliations, and reporting.Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with established controls.Support ongoing ERP implementation activities, including testing, data validation, process documentation, and user support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilityExperience supporting ERP implementations, system migrations, testing, data validation, or process documentation preferred.Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingAdvanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities Work Hours Monday - Friday, during the 1st shift.
