Interim Controller

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to provide financial leadership and support during a transitional period. This role offers the opportunity to oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help drive process improvements within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership
• Support audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Significant accounting and financial management experience, including Controller-level responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience managing month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Advanced proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to leadership
• CPA designation preferred but not required
• Ability to quickly adapt, assess financial operations, and make an immediate impact in an interim capacity

Pay

$85,000 – $120,000
