Interim Chief Technology Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic and operational oversight of enterprise infrastructure functions, including network architecture, cloud operations, data center environments, access control, and end-user computing.
• Guide a team of direct reports responsible for core infrastructure services such as cloud networking, hardware lifecycle management, device support, systems administration, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure high performance and uptime across enterprise platforms and systems through effective KPI monitoring, compliance adherence, and service availability optimization.
• Support voice, data, wireless, and communication systems across distributed business units, including headquarters and satellite locations.
• Drive the development and execution of modernization initiatives that align with enterprise growth—organic and via acquisition—while streamlining infrastructure for efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technology and business leadership to ensure infrastructure supports enterprise goals and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Oversee vendor management activities including selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring of third-party providers supporting infrastructure and cloud services.
• Travel within the regional footprint to support infrastructure assessments and strategy execution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in network infrastructure, systems engineering, or IT operations leadership.
• Minimum of 5 years managing technical teams with budgetary accountability.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure including networking, cloud environments, systems integration, data storage, cybersecurity, and endpoint management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure initiatives in dynamic and regulated environments; financial services background preferred.
• Proven record of implementing technology solutions that drive innovation and operational improvement.
• Experience with infrastructure compliance, access control, and regulatory standards.
• Skilled in cross-departmental communication and executive reporting; capable of engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Strong vendor management experience, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
• Capable of balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership where necessary.
