Activity Specialists
About the opportunity:
As an Activity Specialist, you will engage students in dynamic, interactive lessons designed to cultivate new skills and foster creativity. In a fun, inclusive, and experiential environment, you will encourage students to develop confidence, master techniques, and pursue their passions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our scholars enjoy a well-rounded experience while participating in project-based learning. Additionally, you will plan and lead weekly activities tailored to K-8 students, ensuring every child is engaged in meaningful, hands-on learning.
- Specialty Areas: Robotics, Culinary Arts, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Sports
What qualifies you:
- Embody and effectively model EHTP's core values for students, including consistent and timely attendance.
- Have at least 2 years of experience working with Elementary and/or Middle School students in an after-school or summer camp setting.
- Hold yourself to high professional and ethical standards.
- Have experience teaching your selected skill and developing lesson plans for end-of-term projects or performances.
- Have experience working with diverse populations of students and communities.
- Be flexible and adaptable to program and student needs, willing to work with any age range from K-8.
- Be committed to continuous improvement through professional development.
- Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish speakers) are highly encouraged to apply.
Group Leader
About the opportunity:
As a Group Leader, you will foster a welcoming and engaging community by promoting effective classroom management, supporting social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies, and organizing team-building activities. You’ll work closely with Activity Specialists to ensure students have a meaningful, well-rounded experience. Group Leaders play an integral role in guiding weekly challenges, promoting positive behavior, and helping scholars develop social and emotional skills.
