INTERDISCIPLINARY POSITION

Duties

  • Interface with the Contracts Department and coordinate the planning and execution of Global Contingency Construction Multiple Award Contract (GCCMAC) task orders in support of contingency plans.
  • Develop support plans for military exercises and prepare scopes of work, drafting planning documents, site visits/inspections, and contract execution.
  • Analyze the mission, tasks, functions and loading associated with proposed operations to identify the construction and repair projects necessary to support planned operations.
  • Prepare and conduct briefs on the status of operation plans in various countries and NAVFAC LANT's role in its implementation.
  • Cookordination with other service components to accurately describe the construction requirements of services in the areas for which the Navy is the designated planning agent.

Qualifications

  • You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or a Registered Architect (RA).
  • Your license or registration must be held in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • A copy of your current license or registration must be submitted with your application package.
  • The position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates.
  • Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
    • Analyzing proposals to identify the necessary construction and repair projects;
    • Reviewing, evaluating, and retaining significant information and recommendations in succinct, graphic, tabular, and narrative form;
    • Developing and drafting narrative appendices supplementing basic operations plans, including detailed descriptive information on existing facility availability and location information;
    • Preparing briefs for various audiences of Contingency Planning.
