Interconnection Manager
About the role
Manage all aspects of the interconnection process of grid-scale Solar PV, Onshore Wind, and BESS projects from inception to completion. Handle issues related to High Voltage Electrical / Substation Infrastructure assets, including overseeing and leading technical aspects, substation design and equipment selection, as well as cable/line design, from initial concept through design and construction phases.
Participate in feasibility studies from a design and cost perspective. Supervise external consultants, engineers, and EPC Contractors through design, construction and installation. Provide key support and oversight during grid connection application process.
Responsibilities
- Manage the interconnection process for grid-scale Solar PV, Onshore Wind, and BESS projects
- Oversee and lead technical aspects such as substation design and equipment selection
- Design and select cable/line for high voltage electrical infrastructure
- Collaborate on feasibility studies from a design and cost perspective
- Supervise external consultants, engineers, and EPC Contractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Support and oversee the grid connection application process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Significant engineering experience, including with Medium/High Voltage design or management of third-party designers
- Demonstrated experience on the interconnection of power plants, particularly utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, PLS-CAD, DigSilent, PSSE, ETAP, and similar Electrical Engineering software domains, as well as Project Management software and MS Excel & the Office suite
Qualifications
Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial. A background in renewable energy and electrical engineering is highly desirable.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
