About the role
We are seeking an Intercompany Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Team. This role is crucial for shaping the future of global commerce and involves leading intercompany accounting activities across a complex global organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and elevate a high-performing accounting team that delivers accurate, timely, and compliant intercompany accounting results while fostering accountability, development, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the global intercompany close process by ensuring seamless transaction matching, settlements, eliminations, and reconciliations that support the integrity of consolidated financial reporting.
- Strengthen financial accuracy and operational efficiency by identifying process gaps, resolving complex accounting issues, and implementing scalable improvements across global entities.
- Influence accounting strategy and risk management through strong controls, effective governance, and proactive identification of risks within intercompany and multi-currency accounting activities.
- Partner across Finance and business functions to deliver reliable financial insights, align global accounting practices, and support informed decision-making throughout the organization.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility within intercompany, consolidation, or multinational accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting practices within complex global and multi-currency organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading intercompany accounting, eliminations, reconciliations, and close processes while driving accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate complex financial information, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, build partnerships across global teams, and lead through change.
Qualifications
- Experience with foreign currency accounting, including Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 830 remeasurement, translation, and cumulative translation adjustment (CTA) analysis.
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms such as Oracle or SAP, intercompany reconciliation solutions such as BlackLine or Trintech, and data analytics tools such as Alteryx.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and experience leading large-scale process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives.
