ABOUT QUANTA
THE SIMONS FOUNDATION’S DIVERSITY COMMITMENT
- Research, plan and execute interactive content and front-end development for Quanta’s website, built on WordPress with a React front-end.
- Work closely and collaboratively with editors, reporters, art staff and other developers.
- Effectively manage priorities for multiple concurrent projects
- Adapt to changing requirements
Experience and Skills:
- At least three years’ experience in interactive/front-end development and data visualization, preferably in a scientific or science media setting.
- Fluent in HTML5, CSS, Javascript, D3.js and/or similar data-visualization libraries.
- Experience working on user interfaces and sensitive to the needs of a diverse set of users (in terms of accessibility and ease of use)
- Familiarity with WordPress, React.js, PHP a plus.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, an excellent communicator.
Must be an effective team player and have the ability to coordinate interactive and web development projects with editors, reporters and art staff.
