You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
We are looking for a UX Designer to join our newly formed AI Foundations UX team and help us build the next generation of data tools.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and explore strategic design opportunities.
- Drive the design process from ideation to execution for the next generation of AI-driven data tools.
- Develop conceptual models, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design ideas across multiple platforms.
- Leverage UX research and user feedback to inform design decisions and validate product concepts.
- Advocate for the prioritization of design-centered refinements and product experience improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications:
- - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- - 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Preferred qualifications:
- - Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- - 2 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- - 1 year of experience leading design projects.
- - Experience designing enterprise products or highly complex consumer products.
- - Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the design process.
- - Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
Pay
US: $132000 - $190000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
