Intensive Recovery Worker
Part-time role: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week. Shifts: 8:00AM – 4:00PM or 3:30PM – 11:00PM (work pattern to be discussed during the interview). This role operates on a two-week rota pattern, which includes weekend working.
About the Service
The Short Stay Recovery House is a 24-hour service for people who have experienced, or are experiencing a mental health crisis but do not require a hospital admission.
About the Role
You will provide crisis intervention and support to people who are experiencing a psychiatric and/or psychosocial crisis but do not require a hospital admission.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in crisis (presenting in a range of ways, including low mood, depressed, anxious, mania, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts) to develop their own safety plan and coping strategies to navigate the crisis situation.
- Identify and respond to individuals who become a risk to themselves or others within this time period by working closely with the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service (CRHT).
- Liaise with the Service Manager when taking new referrals and be part of a full risk handover when accepting new people to the house.
- Complete admissions and discharge paperwork including recovery plans.
- Create and facilitate one-to-one and group sessions for guests to aid in their recovery, focusing on client-specific recovery goals.

Pay
£25,390 per annum, pro rata for part-time hours.
