Intensive Home-Based Therapeutic Care - Family Partner

About the role

Open Sky Community Services provides services to youth and young adults ages 6-22 who are experiencing emotional challenges and/or are part of multi-stressed families. The Family Partner role involves bringing lived experience as a parent, caregiver, or family member who has navigated child-serving systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supports parents and caregivers in understanding and navigating systems of care, strengthening advocacy skills, and developing confidence in decision-making.
  • Collaborates closely with youth, caregivers, clinicians, schools, and other service providers to ensure peer and family support is fully integrated with all aspects of care.
  • Partners with families in goal development, crisis planning, and problem-solving, offering perspective rooted in personal experience and recovery.
  • Supports youth in building communication skills and strengthening relationships with family members, friends, natural supports, and providers.
  • Promotes hope, normalization, and empowerment by modeling recovery, self-advocacy, and system navigation through lived experience.

Requirements

  • Lived experience as a parent, caregiver, guardian, grandparent, or foster care parent supporting a person with mental health challenges, required.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
  • Experience accessing mental health or related services, required.
  • Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
