About the role
HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Intelligence Targeting Analyst (Intelligence Analyst 3-5) to provide advanced analytical support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic, intermediate, and advanced target development supporting SOF plans, operations, and commander objectives.
- Apply SOF-relevant targeting methodologies such as F3EAD, CARVER, network analysis, critical factors/critical vulnerabilities, Joint Targeting Cycle processes, and problem-centric targeting frameworks.
- Develop targets and target systems for lethal and non-lethal engagements using multi-INT fusion and structured analytic techniques.
- Create and update database records, and maintain targeting products in platforms such as: Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT), Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), PFPS/FalconView, SOCOM enterprise data environments, and all-source analytic tools.
- Conduct Target System Analysis (TSA), identifying critical nodes, links, vulnerabilities, interdependencies, and key elements supporting SOF targeting frameworks.
- Perform collateral damage estimation (CDE) and support battle damage assessment (BDA) and combat assessment using multi-INT sources.
- Manage targeting lists such as CTL, NSL, RTL, and JTL in accordance with SOF targeting and collection priorities.
- Provide target prioritization recommendations to synchronize SOF effects with commander objectives.
- Collaborate with combatant commands, national intelligence agencies, and IC partners to ensure analytic accuracy and doctrinal compliance.
- Support SOF integration with targeting processes through participation in OPTs, target boards, HPT/HVT working groups, mission analysis sessions, and briefings.
- Use systems common to SOF targeting and intelligence environments, including: JWICS-based targeting portals, DCGS-SOF, various SIGINT/GEOINT analysis platforms, and SOCOM federated intelligence production environments.
- Produce white papers, briefings, and targeting products supporting senior intelligence leadership and SOF operational decision-making.
- Conduct all-source analysis on target systems including ground forces, missile systems, fires, command-and-control nodes, naval threats, air defense assets, SOF units, and WMD infrastructure.
- Identify intelligence gaps and develop collection requirements to improve target development accuracy and depth.
- Aid in developing, maintaining, and disseminating Target Management SOPs and target development trackers.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, international studies, intelligence studies, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience conducting behavioral or sociocultural analysis in support of military, intelligence, or government operations.
- Training or certification in Target Audience Analysis, Military Information Support Operations (MISO), Joint Information Operations, or Intelligence Support to Information Operations.
- Prior experience supporting PSYOP, IO, special operations, cyber operations, or AFCYBER/USCYBERCOM organizations.
- Experience producing analytical products such as TAAWs, cultural assessments, or influence campaign effectiveness reports.
- Regional expertise relevant to current Department of Defense priority areas.
- Experience working in fast-paced operational environments requiring rapid analysis and iterative assessment.
Qualifications
- LEVEL 3 = 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- LEVEL 4 = 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- LEVEL 5 = 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of influence operations, information operations, or Target Audience Analysis methodologies used in DoD/IC.
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into actionable operational recommendations.
- Strong briefing, writing, and communication skills for senior leadership audiences.
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, including intelligence analysts, planners, and operations personnel.
- Familiarity with research and analysis tools, OSINT platforms, behavioral analysis databases, and geospatial or social network analysis tools such as: Cyber & Fusion Tools JCWA platform tools, Palantir Gotham, Vantage / ADVANAHIVE tools, Influence / Behavioral Assessment Tools, Babel Street, Dataminr, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, NodeXL, Gephi, ArcGIS, QGIS.

Pay
Anticipated Salary Range: $83,593.00 - $135,000.00
