Intellectual Property Senior Counsel
About the role
Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking an Intellectual Property Senior Counsel with a minimum of eight years of experience. This position can be based in any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link.
Responsibilities
- Work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit.
- Have the possibility of a flexible billable-hour requirement.
- Provide legal advice and support to clients in the areas of intellectual property.
- Participate in client meetings and negotiations.
- Prepare and review legal documents and agreements.
- Manage and resolve disputes related to intellectual property.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Software, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study.
- An active bar license corresponding to the state in which they reside, or commitment to obtaining one as soon as possible.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- A commitment to the community.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated record of working well under pressure.
- Exceptional judgment.
- The ability to effectively handle multiple projects.
- The ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action.

We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and much more. Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C. is $190,000 to $240,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data.
Pay
Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C. is $190,000 to $240,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data.
