Intellectual Property Associate

Responsibilities

The associate will assist the IP Practice Team on a variety of intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent prosecution and IP litigation. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for business development and a genuine interest in actively practicing across a variety of segments of IP law.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be registered to practice before the USPTO or possess the educational and technical prerequisites necessary to sit for the USPTO registration examination.
• Candidates must also maintain active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• The successful candidate will have one to three years of experience practicing intellectual property law with a law firm or in an in-house role.
• A technical background is required, with a preference for candidates who have technical capabilities in computer science or electrical engineering.
• In addition, successful candidates will possess excellent academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness; exceptional attention to detail; and outstanding client service skills.
