Intellectual Disability- Program Specialist Trainee

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a Program Specialist Trainee to join our team of professionals in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.

About the role

The Program Specialist Trainee assists the Area Supervisor and Direct Support Professionals to enhance and promote the independence of the individuals supported. The Program Specialist Trainee works closely with the Behavioral Health Professional who will provide direction and support in the development and implementation of individual assessments, individual support plans, and other associated plans of care, including behavioral support.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Area Supervisor and Direct Support Professionals in promoting the independence of individuals supported.
• Work closely with the Behavioral Health Professional to develop and implement individual assessments and support plans.
• Support the creation and execution of behavioral support plans and other associated plans of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism.
• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to utilize internal software programs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of required trainings within specified timeframes, including First Aid, CPR certifications, and others mandated by regulations.
• Valid Driver’s License with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks.
