Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Solutions Architect to design, build, and govern enterprise-grade integration solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role involves owning the end-to-end architecture for connecting applications, data stores, and external services, translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and observable integration designs, and driving these designs through to production implementation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of integration solutions using Azure services, spanning messaging, eventing, API management, and orchestration.
- Architect and apply standard integration design patterns (e.g., publish/subscribe, request/reply, content-based routing, message transformation, claim-check, saga/process manager, retry and dead-letter handling, circuit breaker) to real-world business problems.
- Champion sound design principles—abstraction, extensibility, and adaptive design—so that solutions remain loosely coupled, easy to extend, and resilient to changing requirements.
- Design and implement containerized workloads using Azure Container Apps, App Service, and Azure Functions, including container packaging, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Model and integrate relational, NoSQL, and caching data stores, selecting the right persistence approach for each workload.
- Design and develop enterprise-level IT architecture solutions, including cloud, infrastructure, applications, and data systems.
- Evaluate business needs and translate them into technical requirements and architectural blueprints. Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry's best practices and compliance standards.
- Lead the integration of new technologies, APIs, and third-party services into existing infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams and oversee the implementation of architectural designs.
- Conduct system performance analysis, risk assessments, and optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including executives, engineers, and business units, to align IT strategy with organizational goals.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Document architecture standards, policies, and procedures for reference and compliance.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance integration solutions using modern patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, pub/sub, SOA).
- Design and optimize data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
- Establish governance frameworks for integration standards, monitoring, logging, and error handling.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
- Mentor and guide technical teams on cloud best practices and architectural patterns.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum 7 years' experience in IT architecture, business architecture, systems design, software development, integration architecture, or infrastructure.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience designing cloud-native integrations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Azure Certifications (Developer, DevOps Engineer, Administrator, Solutions Architect).
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.
- Strong background in software development (.NET, Java, Python) and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), APIs, microservices, SOA, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Expertise in designing scalable, high-availability systems and hybrid cloud architectures using Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, PCI, HIPAA).
- Knowledge of data platforms including data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, data hubs, and data governance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities to guide and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
