Integration & Test Engineer

About the role

The Integration & Test Engineer provides systems engineering and program management SETA support for spacecraft integrations and test activities in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide Spacecraft Integrations & Test technical support to the Government Program Manager
• Monitor space vehicle system engineering, design, development, production, qualification, integration, test, and test data review activities
• Monitor spacecraft bus system engineering, design, development, production, qualification, integration, test, and test data review activities
• Monitor contractor activities for test equipment development and use, integration and test, and discrepancy reporting and resolution
• Monitor quality assurance activities
• Monitor parts selection and usage
• Monitor space vehicle and spacecraft mission assurance activities
• Perform test data review with SPO personnel
• Review and provide technical evaluation of contractor-submitted Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items or other technical design documentation, as needed
• Work closely with the Contractor to ensure the program office understands any schedule and technical changes
• Attend SPO and development contractor meetings at the request of the Government

Requirements

• TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in an engineering discipline
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills
• Experience conducting or overseeing integration & test, spacecraft build, or experience with MGSE or EGSE (Mechanical or Electrical Ground Support Equipment)
• Experience with Launch Systems Integration
• Strong written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment
• Proven knowledge in Requirements Management, Quality Control, and Configuration Management
• Knowledge of how space systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested
• Experience interacting with and leading technical staff, contractors, and government representatives

Qualifications (Preferred)

• MS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in an engineering discipline
• 9+ years of relevant experience

Pay

Expected salary range: $120,000 – $158,000 per year. Placement within the range is determined by qualifications, job-related criteria, experience, internal equity, and market considerations.
