Integration Specialist
About the role
The Integration Specialist II role is to startup, commission, test PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) controlled equipment, and complete systems integration at customer sites. This is a remote, field-based position supporting regional site commissioning projects.
Responsibilities
- Drive the commissioning of HMI systems and establish robust connections with PLCs, ensuring optimal communication and functionality across customer systems.
- Conduct end-to-end hardware testing and verify system performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform comprehensive system functionality tests, ensuring complete and seamless integration with the customer's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve both hardware and software issues quickly and effectively, maintaining project timelines.
- Acquire and maintain an expert-level understanding of the software and hardware used to support commissioning activities, ensuring proficiency in all tools and systems.
- Drive the startup, commissioning, and testing of PLC-controlled equipment at customer locations, adhering to project deadlines and quality expectations.
- Execute system integration testing of Symbotic adapter cells, storage solutions, and safety systems, ensuring full integration with customer WMS interfaces.
- Execute tasks as outlined in the Commissioning Services Scope of Work (SOW), including control cabinet startup, software loading, configuration, and performance validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, software, and customer support) to ensure a smooth commissioning process and provide ongoing technical support during system go-live.
- Drive the commissioning of PLC controllers, ensuring precise configuration and optimal performance for customer sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.
- Experience with and/or exposure to one or more of the following areas: PLC Systems, Robotics, Industrial Networks, Interface Operators.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with motion control equipment (e.g., Variable Frequency Drives, VFDs) is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide remote system support using tools like Remote Desktop, SSH, and web browsers.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and execute in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems, including Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and HMI systems.
- Familiarity with ABB, Fanuc robotics.
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet industrial networks.
- Experience with Panel View Plus interface operators.
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Benefits
Base range for this position in the posted location is $82,000.00 - $113,300.00. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.

Schedule
This is a remote, field-based position requiring up to 75% travel to site locations within the assigned region. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
