Integrated Test Engineer

Amentum is seeking an Integrated Test Engineer to provide engineering, technical, structural, mechanical, and electrical support for surface ship availability at MARMC Code 224.

About the Role

The selected candidate will leverage extensive knowledge of requirements outlined in JFMM, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Commander Naval Regional Maintenance Centers (CNRMC), and Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Directives. Responsibilities include planning, development, and execution of oversight for surface ship availability integrated test plans and work certification.

Responsibilities

• Approves and provides oversight of the contractor’s development and management of the Integrated Test Plan (ITP), coordinating with the Project Manager to ensure alignment with the Authorized Work Package (AWP) and integrated production schedule.
• Reviews the AWP and work specifications to evaluate and ensure maintenance activities properly tie work items to key events and milestones.
• Ensures appropriate Work to Test Relationships (WTR) are developed for contractors, AITs, FMA, Ship’s Force, and Naval Shipyard (NSY) work.
• Reviews Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, and C5I system test procedures prior to issuance and after completion of testing.
• Acts as MARMC primary point of contact to collect schedule and testing information from AITs, FMA, Ship’s Force, and NSY, ensuring integration into the Integrated Total Ship Test Plan.
• Provides detailed briefings to the execution maintenance team, ship’s force, contractors, and other stakeholders on MARMC RMC work certification processes and signatory roles/responsibilities.
• Supports MARMC Chief Engineers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on technical work certification, key event readiness evaluation, and serves as the project/maintenance team’s work certification SME.
• Coordinates the completion of the availability completion certification process and signature sheets in accordance with JFMM and MARMC work test and certification guidance.
• Verifies that the availability Master Requirements List (MRL) and Event Readiness List (ERL) are updated by the Lead Maintenance Activity (LMA) and provided to the Project/Maintenance Teams.
• Participates in Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) meetings as the team’s SME on Test and Work Certification during advance planning, execution, and post-availability phases.
• Provides written and oral debriefs to the ship’s Commanding Officer (CO), CHENG, or designated personnel, and drafts naval messages, letters, or other correspondence as required.

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of technical experience with installation, operation, repair, testing, and maintenance of naval structure, mechanical, electrical/HM&E, and C5I Combat systems equipment.
• A minimum of five (5) years of working knowledge in Naval Maintenance and Modernization (NMD) planning, creating work items, and reviewing them.
• Experience using DoD websites and applications, including EDFS and NAVSEA PORTALS.
• Knowledge of JFMM and Appendix 4E.
• Experience with Integrated Shipboard Test and Work Certification management and coordination.
• Experience reviewing Availability Work Packages (AWPs).
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce, both orally and in writing.
• Seven (7) years of full-time technical experience in Naval Ship Support.
• Active Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.

Pay

$80,000 – $93,000 per year. The compensation range is a good-faith estimate and may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
