Summary Of Key Duties

  • Lead planner responsible for a specific function of a Skunk Works® program.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze program schedules.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and model planning excellence for the team.
  • Collaborate across multiple functional areas including engineering, procurement, contracts, business management, production, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on program goals and objectives.
  • Use expert knowledge of scheduling tools like Deltek Open Plan Scheduling Tool, Microsoft Project, and SAP.
  • Deliver project briefings to internal and external customers.
  • Analyze planning metrics and trends to implement actionable improvement plans.
  • Manage risk assessments and opportunities using tools like Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA).
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles for cost and schedule integration.
  • Build and maintain complex network schedules including integrity checks, critical path analysis, and schedule risk analysis.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Basic Qualifications

  • A US Citizen with a Secret security clearance.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in operational planning or scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expertise with scheduling tools such as Deltek Open Plan, Primavera, MS Project, or ProjectView.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Effective team-building and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Desired Skills

  • Proposal experience.
  • Experience as a planning team lead and/or contract planner.
  • Performance analysis and corrective action recommendation skills.
  • Familiarity with Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Knowledge of LM Program Performance Management (PPM).
  • Experience with FAMSCO tools.
  • Experience in aerospace industry.
