Career Details

The pace of change in acute care delivery requires trained Physicians with skills in management, leadership, and innovation. The USACS Fellowship in Clinical Innovation aims to train and retain the next generation of USACS leaders and innovators in Hospital Medicine.

Program Components

• A national role involving a 1:1 national mentor for each fellow, including participation in CMO and IAC team calls, projects, and national-level committees.
• A local site role with one or more local/regional mentors, focusing on developing and implementing innovative local programs, attending high-level meetings, and participating in local committees.
• A longitudinal educational curriculum and discussion group focused on innovation, including group discussions of selected readings.
• Clinical experience in Hospital Medicine with a reduced clinical load.
• Participation in USACS and national didactic programs.

Eligibility

• Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program
• Board-certification / board-eligibility in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine
• U.S. Citizenship

Compensation

• Excellent compensation with an estimated employed W-2 base pay range of $81/hour to $105/hour
